Rapidio is committed to always protecting your privacy and your Personal Information. To that end, we employ and maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to ensure your Personal Information is protected.
How and why we collect personal information
We primarily collect information by specifically requesting it from you. Generally, this occurs if you register at our Site or request information or a service. Usually, we and our third party service partners use your information to operate the Site and to deliver value-added services to you. Our Site also uses your information to inform you about other products or services available from us.
We may obtain Personal Information:
- When you provide it directly to us through both online and offline interactions, such as via Site submissions or when you email us;
- Automatically when you visit this Site or use the Services (such as from cookies, as further described below);
- From third parties (such as when you make payments to us using our payment processor);
- From our affiliates and partners.
- We collect certain information from you directly, such as information you enter yourself.
When using our Site or Services, you may provide contact information, such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, company name, and job title.
In order to use certain features of the Site (e.g., Underwriting Assistant and other Services), you need to create a user account (“Account”). When you create or update your account, we collect and store the data you provide, such as your username, email address, password, password recovery information, date of birth, and account settings (“Account Data”).
Parts of the Services let you submit free form content, attachments, and other data for processing through the Services, as well as questions and feedback on the Site or otherwise in connection with the Services. Such shared content is submitted at your discretion, and you represent and warrant that you are permitted to submit all such shared content for processing.
When you use the Services, we collect certain data to track your progress including, without limitation, your active processing tasks, workflow progress, active workflows, as well as deadlines and reminders.

Communications and Support
If you contact us for support or to report a problem or concern (regardless of whether you have created an Account), we collect and store your contact information, messages, and other data in connection with such communication.
- We also collect certain information by automatic means, such as data about your device and browser characteristics.
Technical data about your computer or device, such as your IP address, device type, unique device identifiers, browser, domain and other systems data, and platform types (“System Data”).
Usage data about your interactions with the Site, including workflows accessed, time spent on the Site, pages visited, features used, your search queries, click data, date and time, performance data, usage rate of various features, and other data regarding your use of the Site and Services (“Usage Data”).
Approximate geolocation data (such as country) based on your IP address.
Information we collect when you browse our Site
We do not access information about your identity while you browse our Site. Although we collect information about the date, time, and area of our Site that you visited, you remain anonymous to us. Only if you decide to pay for and use our Services and register for an account do we collect any personally identifying information about you.
Use of Tracking; Use of IP Addresses
An IP address is a unique number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Internet so that your computer can be identified by the main computers, known as “Web servers,” that “serve up” or display webpages. This allows us to identify and gather general information and data about you, such as the webpages you view.
Rapidio uses a variety of third-party services to help provide the most streamlined and user-friendly Site possible. We also use third parties such as Google Analytics to help us understand how our visitors use our Site. These third-parties may collect certain information from your browser (i.e. using cookies and/or your IP address) and may tailor your ads so that you see Rapidio advertisements on other Sites. To learn more, or to opt-out of receiving online display advertisements tailored to your interests by our third-party partners, visit the Network Advertising Initiative Site. If you prefer, you can adjust your privacy settings in your browser so that your information is not tracked.
We use the following specific Cookies on our Site:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around the Site and use its features. Without these cookies, services you have asked for such as remembering your login details or submitted information cannot be provided.
These cookies remember choices you make such as the country you visit our Site from, language and search parameters. This data can then be used to provide you with an experience more appropriate to your selections and to make the visits more tailored and pleasant. The information these cookies collect may be anonymized and they cannot track your browsing activity on other sites.
These cookies collect anonymous information on how people use our Site. For example, we use Google Analytics cookies to help us understand how customers arrive at our Site, browse or use our Site and highlight areas where we can improve such as navigation. The data stored by these cookies never shows personal details from which your individual identity can be established.
Your web browser can be set to allow you to control whether you will accept cookies, reject cookies, or to notify you each time a cookie is sent to you. Please note that if your browser is set to reject cookies, the Site may not recognize you when you return to the Site and some Site functionality may be lost, including access to all or parts of the Services. The Help section of your browser may tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting cookies. To find out more about cookies and your choices with respect to collection and use of such data, you may visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
Our third-party service provider employs a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web beacons/Web bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We may tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.
We may use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
